STORY
17-year-old orphan and troublemaker Tieniu graduates the School for the Blind. Instead of following the common path to work at massage parlors like many others, he joins a blind soccer team. His teacher warns him that playing soccer could put his life at risk——with no stable income or a reliable place to stay. But that only excites Tieniu more. To him, adulthood is a thrilling, unknown adventure. Taking risks is a chance to be different. However, as he puts his trust in the coach, the only other person with him on this journey, an unexpected danger quietly closes in...

HAO ZHENG | Director
Hao Zheng is an award-winning director with previous works exploring cross-culture, multi-genre stories on the theme of identity and belonging. He was named a Disney Launchpad Directing Fellow, a HBOAccess Directing Fellow and a Forbes 30-Under-30 honoree after winning the Student Academy Award and screening his films at more than 100 festivals including Venice International Film Festival, Sitges Film Festival and AFI Fest.
Shuhan Fan | Writer
Shuhan Fan is a film director and screenwriter from Taiyuan, China. Her short film STAY CLOSE received the Tribeca/ESPN Future Filmmaker Prize in 2016, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 2019, nominated for Cinema Eye Honors and shortlisted for an Academy Award.
YILIN LI | Producer
Li Yilin, producer, is currently served as Head of Production of Beijing Splendid Culture & Entertainment Co., Ltd. A UCLA graduate with over ten years of professional work in the film industries of Hollywood and China, she has rich experience and resources of managing entire process of film production. Her past works include feature films I Am What I Am 2 (2024), Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (2024), as well as the US-China co-production Extinct (2021).
Ruru Xie | Producer
Film producer, Coordinator of the 8th Pingyao International Film Festival, and jury secretary of the 7th Pingyao International Film Festival. An Emerson College graduate, she participated in films such as "Eternal Sunday", "I Want to Hug You", and "Sister", and the online movie "Los Angeles Heist", and was shortlisted for SHORTSHORTS, HBO APA VISIONARIES SHORT FILM COMPETETION, Palm Springs International Film Festival and other international film festivals and awards.
Carlo Mendoza | Cinematographer
Carlo Canlas Mendoza, a multi-awarded Filipino cinematographer with an MFA at the American Film Institute in 2018 wherein he was the recipient of the Rachel Morrison scholarship. Before coming to AFI, Carlo has photographed more than a dozen independent feature films that have been exhibited in festivals in Venice, Berlin, New York, Tokyo, Busan, Estonia, Vladivostok and Karlovy Vary.
Guangwei Du | Editor
Guangwei, film editor, member of Motion Picture Editor’s Guild. The films she has edited have been showcased at numerous festivals around the world, including Shanghai International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, Pingyao International Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival and etc.
